Parts & product

If I want an HBD without the sneeze guard, what model should I order?

If you are using it for ice cream or products that need to be held between -15°F and +10°F, order the HL model. For products that require a temperature range from -5°F to +40°F, order the HB model.

If you still want the 3-gallon tub holders, they are sold separately: one basket for every two holes. For example, an 8-facing unit needs 4 baskets. The part number is BK00-00062.

How do I adjust the thermostat? Which way is colder or warmer?

Turn the dial clockwise to make the unit colder, and counterclockwise to make it warmer.

What setting should my unit be on to reach the right temperature for my product?

Depending on the temperature your product requires, adjust the thermostat clockwise to get colder or counterclockwise to get warmer, in small steps. Allow a couple of hours between adjustments for the temperature to settle, and keep adjusting until you reach the temperature you need.

Why is there no knob on my freezer’s thermostat?

None of our freezers have a knob. The thermostats are recessed into the side of the cabinet so that nobody adjusts the temperature by accident. Use a flathead screwdriver to make adjustments.

What is the switch on my freezer for?

The switch is the light switch, not a power switch. To turn the freezer off, unplug it.

Is there an estimated arrival date for a backordered item?

Please contact your customer service representative for an estimated arrival date.

Payments

What are the payment options?

We offer several options. If you would like a payment plan, start by filling out a credit application to establish a line of credit. If you pay by check, please allow a 7-business-day hold before the order is cleared for processing by our warehouse. We also accept credit card payments.

I received an invoice, but I already paid for my shipment.

If you have already paid, the balance due at the bottom right of the invoice will read $0.00. In that case the invoice is your receipt, and no further action is needed.

Can you provide a copy of an invoice?

Yes. Please email the invoice number to ar@excellenceindustries.com.

Can you send me the remaining invoice for a specific purchase order?

If your purchase order has a progress invoice, the remaining parts are pending or on backorder. We will invoice the remaining balance once those items have shipped.

Shipping

Where can I locate my delivery tracking number?

When Excellence Industries ships an order for delivery, an email is automatically sent to the shipping contact we have on file for your order. If applicable, the tracking number is included in the email.

If you never received your email or the tracking number is not present, please call us at 800.441.4014. You can press 806 for the Parts department or 807 for Customer Service.

What does it mean when my shipment shows “Booked” or “In Transit”?

“Booked” means the bill of lading has been created and the shipment is waiting to be picked up. “In Transit” means the shipment is with the carrier and on its way to the delivery address. It can take a day for the status to change from “Booked” to “In Transit”.

Shipping cost isn’t shown on the website. How do I find out what shipping will cost?

For new orders, please call our office for a freight quote. For existing orders, the shipping cost appears on your invoice once it has been uploaded and sent to you.

Can you give me a freight quote for a specific part?

Certainly. Send us your name, phone number, the part you need and the ZIP code it will ship to, and tell us whether you would like a call or an email back. We set the quote up in our system and get back to you. FedEx quotes are based on weight, box size and ZIP code.

Warranty

What is the standard warranty?

We offer a 1-year parts and labor warranty, and a 5-year warranty on the compressor (part only). The compressor warranty covers the cost of the part itself, not the labor to replace it.
